[Diet Update] Not the worst of weeks, not the best.

Something is going on at work which I can’t talk about yet. It has been consuming my thoughts recently. All good, but it distracted me from the blog. Apologies.

I’ve lost another Kilo, despite a diet hiccup on Friday when post-work drinks led to some junk food being devoured. Being hungry and drunk isn’t an ideal combination. But, I’m not beating myself up about it. I just got back to the diet the next day.

I recovered from the gym reasonably well. I was really pleased that I ached the day after, it was a sensation I’d not experienced in a few years. I’ve heard it describe as a “good ache“, an ache justified by having done a good job at the gym. I’d agree.

Food wise I’ve been making adjustments to the diet plan for next month, to avoid some of less tasty options. What I have found is that the possibilities that come with “a side of rice” or “a side of sweet potato” just don’t contain enough protein to satisfy my hunger, so I am opting to stick with the tastier options like the Chicken or Beef Casserole or the Chilli. They come in pouches and feel more like a proper meal once you’ve added lots of veggies.

Overall I’m feeling positive about things. It’s not going to be easy, but I’m confident that this is worth it.

This week I hope to be able to post more about whats happening at work. I don’t want to jinx it, and I plan to get to the gym more.
