Most hip and knee replacements ‘last longer than thought’

Eight out of 10 knee replacements and six out of 10 hip replacements last as long as 25 years, says a large study from the University of Bristol.

I have had two hip replacements, so this is good news for me. I was told 20 years, 25 years is a bonus. And, on Sunday, its the birthday of “leftie” my shiny metal left hip.

    Good new indeed. I had both mine replaced in 2012. Nice to know I might make it till 2037
