Brewer at Manchester’s Cloudwater Brewery, Al Wall, is runner-up for Beard of the Year 2018

The Beard Liberation Front says that with the winners of the 2018 Beard of the Year Award officially announced on Friday, brewer at leading Manchester craft brewery Cloudwater, Al Wall, has been declared the runner-up.

Brewers have featured prominently in recent Beard of the Year Awards reflecting what some may see as a connection between craft beer and beards but the BLF says that with ever tougher competition Al Wall has done exceptionally well to finish in the runner-up place

First place in the Award was shared between cosmologist Peter Coles, based at Maynooth University, and TV doctor Xand Van Tulleken.
